5 Month And Counting
5 months ago yesterday was the anniversary of me assembling my bowflex and adding resistance training to my daily workout routine. It also marks (about) 8 months since I started eating well and doing daily cardio (either on my treadmill, on my bike or outside for an old fashioned jog).
I've recently gained about 5 pounds again over the past few weeks even though I'm eating the same and working out more. My current weight is 170 lbs (up from 165).
I can only assume it's muscle weight gain which is just fine with me. I've never looked better.
I've given up the creatine at least temporarily because I found it really did a number on my stomach. I was experiencing short but intense bouts of nausea and went to see my doctor. I hadn't put 2 and 2 together until I mentioned the creatine. The doctor suggested I lay off for a while and see if that helps which is has.
So here's what I've actually noticed as far as improvements go since January 15th:

So here's what I've actually noticed as far as improvements go since January 15th:
- I look good naked in a full length mirror
- I notice women checking me out as I walk down the street
- Although it's come in handy I still feel stupid wearing a helmet while riding a bike
- I've more than doubled my starting lift weights on all exercises except for french presses which for some reason just kill me every time although they've become bearable instead of a private version of hell.
- Did I mention I look good naked in a full length mirror (no...I won't be posting pictures of that!!)
- I can run about 4 times farther than before without tiring and I can do it faster.
- This was all much much easier than I thought
- My confidence in my appearance is improved by a factor of about 1000
Let me be candid about the stuff that matters:
- Losing fat below my stomach in the pelvis area has made my penis bigger (and really...who doesn't want a bigger dick?).
- Better blood circulation also has benefits as well but I'll leave that to your imagination
- My sex drive is way up
- Spooning with my wife is easier because my gut doesn't get in the way
My wife says the most important thing to her has been that I'm choosing a healthy lifestyle which means I'll be healthier longer. Don't believe her though, the smile on my face tells a completely different story.
