Not only do you look better but Mr. Happy gets better too...

Anyway, still at it doing the 2 day on 1 day off thing. So far so good.
Here's a question for those of you who work out on a regular basis.
Do you feel guilty if you miss a workout?

I really cranked my shoulder on the weekend though so I had to take an extra day off and when I went back I couldn't lift at my regular weight so I took it down a notch. Coincidentally, my shoulder felt a lot better after getting it moving and now I'm fully back on track. Since I finally reached my target weight I've decided to try out Creatine again. Been on it for about a week and so far I've had very minimal side effects.

Nothing new to report on the fitness front however I am pleased to announce that my wife and I are expecting again.

Yes, it is pretty soon since we lost a pregnancy back in February so if you do the math you'll see that the power of a healthy body goes beyond the biceps and makes my soldiers quite the potent product.

For a better sex life Daemon Cain recommends cardio and weight training.

No pics for 3 months

Here's the plan. Since I'm following the Action Hero Body stage 3 plan I thought I'd lay off on taking pictures for a while.

You've seen recent photos of me from just before I started stage 3 and the book says it will take 3 months for noticable changes to take place.

Well, 2 weeks into Stage 3 and I already see a big difference so I'm really excited to see how things turn out when I unveil my progress on August 7th.

I'm doing the 2 days on 1 day off routine so I'm doing 2 more workouts a week.

Yes, I'm still driving my wife crazy with the flexing in the mirror but, hey, I'm feeling good about my appearance. Don't get me wrong...I still don't think I'm where I want to be but I know I'm better than where I was.

I guess, I'm concluded, there is never a point where the drive to make yourself better ends unless you stop wanting to be better.

Mark it on your calendars folks...August 7th, 2006 when you'll see Daemon Cain version 3.

Help a guy out!

So my life isn't all about working out!
I've secretly been working on a video game and I'm hoping you can help me test it out.
Of course if this is your first time reading my blog then you probably won't do it. But, if you've been reading my blog for the past few years then you know me well enough to know that I wouldn't try to put a virus on your computer.

Anyway, please download it...play it and let me know what you think or if you have any difficulty with it.

Took my own advice

I've finally bitten the bullet and taken my own advise.
Rather than bitch and complain about my lack of progress I decided to dig up my copy of "The Action Hero Body" to help me formulate new routine.

Although I was well into my routine for almost a year when I picked up the book I started at "Stage 2" because I still have more than 10 pounds of fat to lose before I reached my target weight.

Because it was easy to follow the routine I got lazy with it. This is where I made my error though. Following the book was much easier than following myself and I stopped tracking my workouts and developing new ones.

I reached my target weight of 160 lbs about a while ago but I stayed in the Stage 2 portion of the program. Yes, I've obviously still been gaining muscle because my weight remains static at 160 but (as of last night) my body fat is down to 14.6%.

So, with book-in-hand I spent my hour and a half crafting my new 4 day a week routine. I finished day 2 last night and my entire upper body is so sore (which is what I want).

Day 1: Chest, light arms
Day 2: Back, light arms
day of rest
Day 3: Shoulds and arms
Day 4: Legs

I still need to lose 8 lbs of fat OR gain 7.36 lbs of muscle to reach my goal of 10% body fat.

Suppliments

Suppliments are always a hot topic in any physical areana. Whether it's prohormones to achieve a hard body or propecia to grow hair, there's always going to be people who are telling you that you aren't good enough as you are.

So how do you tell the difference? Where do your goals end and self-consciousness to to marketing propaganda begin?

I had a conversation today with a friend of mine. I was expressing frustration with the rate at which I'm improving. It seems to have slowed to a near snails pace in the past few weeks.

Although I have to admit I've made great progress with my body over the past year I'm certainly still not where I want to be. Frankly I'm starting to get annoyed by this.

I'm sure it's primarily psychological in nature but also may have to do with my routine. I've stuck to the same routine for longer than 6 weeks which is generally a no-no so I've been trying to switch it up a bit.

Hopefully this will help.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to pass the plateau?
